The Erasmus mobility experience, which took place from Sunday, 1 December to Saturday, 7 December 2024, represents an extraordinary opportunity for growth and sharing for both students and teachers.
During our recent participation in the project:
Erasmus+ Project 2022 – 1 – IT02 – KA220 – SCH – 000086101
“Power of Digitalization in Fighting Against Climate Change”
Work Package Staff and Students LTT’s No. 4
we were warmly welcomed by the school Zespół Szkół i Placówek Oświatowych w Skale, which organized every detail in the best possible way, ensuring impeccable hospitality and engaging activities.
We had the opportunity to present our project Ecoland, an initiative aimed at raising awareness among the new generations about the importance of environmental sustainability through a model of an ecological community. The project generated great interest among the participants, who were able to discuss good sustainability practices adopted in their respective countries. This experience allowed them not only to deepen their knowledge of ecological issues but also to feel part of a broader community, where cultural differences are seen as an asset rather than an obstacle.
However, the value of the Erasmus mobility goes far beyond the sharing of a single project. Erasmus is a bridge that connects schools and students from different countries, offering opportunities for dialogue, exchange, and mutual enrichment. Our students had the chance to work side by side with peers from other nations, experiencing firsthand the value of international cooperation and developing essential language and intercultural skills for their future.
In addition to school activities, we had the opportunity to visit places of great cultural and scientific interest. Among these were Ojców National Park, a walk through Krakow, the Astor Robotic Center in Krakow (Group 1), and the Rynek Underground Museum. The most enjoyable and fun activity was at the Live Museum of Obwarzanek, where we tried our hand at making Obwarzanek, a traditional Polish specialty, experiencing an engaging and authentic moment.
Our school, I.C. Lodi “Giovanni Spezzaferri,” participated with three teachers and four students, who excellently presented the Ecoland project that we had prepared with great care.
Erasmus demonstrates that education knows no borders and that collaboration among European schools is a value to be nurtured. Thanks to this experience, our students have learned to look to the future with a broader perspective, aware that change comes through dialogue and cooperation among different countries.
This is the true wealth of the Erasmus programme: uniting, inspiring, and building together a more supportive and open Europe.
